My guess is he'd rather spend his time getting to know the players, seeing them in training, rather than answering questions. We've already heard from him 3 or so times since he's joined and I can't see that there would be much to be gained from another press conference.

When did it became compulsory for managers to do press conferences? Is it now pre match - post match - mid week - and ad hoc if something actually happens worth talking about. Frankly I hate them. Let the team do the talking on the pitch.
