Postby STAGS FOR LIFE » Sat Mar 03, 2018 6:13 pm

:) We all need to be up for this match on a cold Tuesday night .
Lets give a David a massive welcome in his 1st match at MTFC and show him what passion our supporters have for our team.
We need to keep them Gimps quiet by getting off to a quick start .

It couldn't have been a more important first match for our new manager being a local derby and promotion crunch match rolled into one. Add the spice of so many ex stags in the Lincoln line up and it's an exciting prospect.

Let's get there and cheer the boys on to a resounding victory.

It's gonna be tough with all the shenanigans over the past 7 days. No matter what we say the Scottish managers departure may well have disrupted things.
Will Flitters tweak things too much? We have to hope he's at least as good at gathering coal.

This is a crucial game. It could set the tone for the rest of the season and decide whether we get an automatic promotion place, a play off place, or nothing.

I'm a tad nervous about this game . If Evans was still in charge I would be confident we would win this .
It depends on how much the manager wants to make a mark .
Personally because it's early doors , I would pick a similar team to the last few games and let the players get on with it . He needs to gradually bring his style of play in . . Play like we can then then 3.1 win

Anyone else a bit worried that JR has personally asked for a big crowd on Tuesday?

I.e if there isn't a big crowd he might take it personally and think why do I bother?

Come on Foxy don't overreact, we need a big crowd for many footballing reasons.

1) Welcone new man in.

2) Lincoln will bring 1500 plus.

3) We need the money.

4) Support the team.

I don't think the turnout for one game is going to have any sway over what JR thinks or does, but then neither do you... But you've got some nibbles to your bait so well done Foxy.

Personally im a bit nervous about DF. Lots of good and bad views on what he does so its impossible to really know what we're getting.

A win would be great but im expecting a draw. Lincoln are a decent side.

Genuinely not putting bait out Jamie and I don't remember JR putting out a "personal appeal" for a big crowd before. Yes he's encouraged people to attend a lot but not worded that way before.

Blokes just come back from a nice holiday in Barbados to all this crap with Evans and our rubbish weather. I bet he wonders why he bothers sometimes- wouldn't you? A 4K crowd Tuesday night night clarify those thoughts maybe?

As a lifelong Stags fan JR will be aware that Stags gates are generally under 4,000 & have been in all but a handfull of seasons for the last 50 years.

We're averaging 4,200 at the moment which will climb slightly if we continue with current form.

Just enjoying this time so much with JR being at the helm. Surely the best chairman we've ever had?
If he gets bored of it then it's back to like it always was.

Tell ya summat else that got me concerned. On that Murder Mystery thing where they changed Steve Evans name to summat Spanish and JR and Cazzas names. It says as cracks started to appear in their marriage. I don't know who wrote that but I hope there's not any truth to it.
Carolyn looked pissed off on the photos with Flipfop I think.
Understandable after what The Lying Scotsman did to them and our club and I just hope that's all it was.

Just remember that Foxy sees all and anyone who says different is either clinically deluded or a professional denier of reality.

No need to applaud ex-Stags on Tuesday. They got that respect in the Mickey-Mouse trophy. Can't see them applauding Angol if he's in the ground.

But it's a poor area, how does he think folk'll come just cos he's asked. They never did before.

Can't the club do a maximum three promotional offers a season? To my knowledge these haven't been used yet like last years B.O.G.O.F offers.

Wouldn't benefit myself as a season ticket holder, but i did take advantage last season and they were great value when paying for a family of four.

The product on the pitch is worth every penny of my season ticket money this season.

If we were to do an offer though, I'd focus on the QLE. Kids for a quid. Or parent and child for a tenner something along those lines. Get that stand full. Looks shocking on C5!

Plus we have a top of the table local derby tomorrow and if Stagstickets is correct, hardly any sold for QLE
