If it is, I’d hope Martin would stop blindly believing everything the club tells him.

Why, is that what you think he does?

Based on what? Have there been many examples where he hasn't got things right after being told by the club?

Based on my own perception. Nothing personal, I just think he’s too close to the club.

Don't see how you've come to that conclusion. His closeness to the club and the staff is what makes him a reliable source. I can't think of a time when he's reported something where club staff have misled him.

James Hanson ticks a lot of boxes for the Stags:

Experienced League 1 and League 2 Striker with Bradford City
6 foot 4
Target man

I expect there will be a bit of competition to sign him. He'll be a bit rusty though as he has not played much in the last two seasons since joining Sheffield United.

A Bradford City supporting mate described him as "a big lump".

Evans is a master manipulator, and I think there are occasions where he feeds rubbish to the press and Martin.

For example, instead of just saying that Mellis was not in the team because he can't be trusted to defend, and based on his second half performance against Chesterfield, he said it was because Mellis can't play two games in a week. He's just played near enough 3.5 games in 9 days.

Not someone I'd think SE would want on board, seems to have an attitude problem and baggage.

Save the money Steve.

Got a feeling Miller is coming here today or tomorrow, reading everything that’s been said.

Doesn’t fit into being a young player though.

Not worth the risk of upsetting the apple cart. By turning down all those clubs, he obviously knows where he wants to be. A player won't give his best if he doesn't really want to be at a club.

Evans already said he doesn't want to disrupt the togertherness of the squad so this is a no goer.

Cant see this happening.
We probably made an enquiry during the window but SE said today that 2 players that may come in are probably players most fans have not heard of

As others have said, and reading Darraghs opinions on twitter and the articles, cant see this happening at all. One, I dont think were offering enough money and two, sounds like hed upset the applecart with his high opinion of himself. No goer for me

Where is "home" for Ricky Miller? He was born in Hatfield near Luton who bombed him out and Stevenage (who probably cannot afford him). He went on to play for Stamford and Boston United. If he lives near Stamford then the Stags would be a great move as Steve Evans could give him a lift every day. He could also play for Northampton Town and Cambridge United (or even Coventry City). If he lives near Boston then Lincoln City might be his preferred choice.

I'd sign him based on his performances and goals last season for Dover Athletic although Steve Evans might be looking for a target man .

In terms of goalscorers, who really is out there that is a realistic proposition and affordable, other than Miller?

Any striker with a good goalscoring record, commands a huge fee. This guy should come at a knockdown price given his baggage. Peterborough may take a hit on deadline day if they truly want rid, and will just have to take it on the chin.
