for those on facebook, Phil was known on there as Eric Parsons. A regular commenter on all things Stags related, also on my reports, he also regularly commented on my photos as we travelled around the country. RIP Eric.

Does anyone have a photo of him? He was a regular away traveller so would be recognised by many.

Didn't know him by name, but as you say Martin, an instantly recognisable face. Really sad news, my condolences to his family and friends.

A seat less filled at t'Mill. No doubt you'll be tuned in and watching 'up there' Phil.

God bless. Keep on cheering bud.

Why was he called Eric Parsons? I've got him on facebook and didn't realise it was Phil until the other day when the sad news broke.

As a fellow Suttonian of the same age, also new Phil very well.
Remember being of school age and accompanying him in the Newcastle Arms for half a pint of Whitbread Mild, then travelling on the bus he had organised, through Sutton Centre, to watch the Stags win 4-1 away at Port Vale 76/77 season.
RIP Phil my old mate.
