Well, we’ve had three seasons of total disaster, two successive relegations and we play home games against Braintree and our bumper Xmas fixtures are against Solihull
You’ve had a promotion (champions?)
You’re best ever season for a generation and are spending money that hardly anyone else can compete with
So surely this balance of power should have shifted by now?
The townfolk of Chesterfield just seem to value their club more.
Er no. Your drop in divisions still doesn't compare to ours. Under Haslam oversaw relegations from League 1 down to the Conference for us too (not in successive seasons), but we then stayed down there 5 years. Like I said, when you've done that, we can talk.

Sad as it may be but I actually think he's got a very good point here.
Which is tied into everything I'm saying, Dan. There is less appetite for it in Mansfield because of what we have been through.

Meh. We do have certain disadvantages (including the ticketing every bloody season) but quite frankly we should be a better supported club than Chesterfield at this point taking everything in to account.

I'd sooner have attendances of one man and his dog than be Non-League.
Couldn't give a flying foooook if they had bigger crowds than Man United. They're in a tin pot league with two absolute clowns running the club. The only thing they have got going for them is Martin Allen, and he only sticks around for a short while before he either gets bored, or falls out with someone and resigns.
I know where I'd sooner be.

The conference doesn't look as strong as it used to.. they have a decent non league side with a good manager straight away. I can't see them having to hold trials for local lads I the car park like we did to sign players.
They'll have a good season, might come straight back up, might just miss out. Just not convinced their time there will be as bad as ours.

Well tonight its the first round of the LEAGUE CUP. And I must have missed seeing their tin-pot name in the fixture list. Enough said.
