Even if Elvis turned up there last night and gave the performance of his sequinned clad jumpsuit life, I would still not like them, their ground or their sheep bothering ways.

Do you think we have had a black away shirt just because Cheaterfield can't

A Premier League performance on a non-league pitch.

The best performance that place will see for a long time.
Overheard many conversations tonight from their fans about their gloomy season ahead.

A very pleasent night.

Was it completely sold out?

I heard a few weeks ago they were struggling to sell all the tickets.

I was working in Cheaterfield that night. Heard £85 tickets were £10 on the day so don’t think it was a sell out. Memories of Westlife?

It certainly wasn't sold out. Spoke to someone within security who said there were around 11,000 there.
£75 tickets most definitely weren't being sold for £10 either. Tickets with a face value of £75 were being sold for £65 on the day.
There were much cheaper tickets (starting at £35 I think) which were being discounted but they were at the other end of the ground. They may have been selling for around £10.

I know 6 people who went together . Were right at the back in £45 seats and were offered a move to front - 4 rows from the front in the most expensive seats due to tickets not being sold.

Yes I do.

I suppose it depends on what basis the concert was booked. If it was solely for use of the ground it will make no difference if it wasn't full.

However, if it was based on tickets sales and their price, it could well be a "Westlife" situation.

how good does that look?
Be even nicer if that's how the table looked at the end of next season.

Have I missed something here, one looks like Carlisle and the other Shrewsbury, what's it got to do with the sheep?

Lionel has had a picture like this for every ground he has visited on his tour.

One interesting thing our non league neighbours have done this week in an attempt to shift more season tickets involved manager Martin Allen.

He has been at the club during the week and offered to meet anyone who bought a season ticket during the week.

Apparently it worked as sales had slowed but since Allen's intervention they have picked up and they have gone over the 2,000 figure. Down on last season but still a healthy number for non league.

Like him or loath him, Allen certainly has gone out of his way to get the fans on board.

I think it is a great idea and certainly benefits the club.

Maybe we could do something similar next season.

Looks happy in the Carlisle picture, even the shrews one.

But the look on his face sums it up, "where is the hand sanitiser"

Allen is entertaining in a sort of cringeworthy, glad he's not at our club kind of way. He might do a job for them, then again he might not, his managerial record is mixed, a bit like his head.

Allen is like Evans in a way. A joke.

He is but not quite as bad. But I think it's good PR.

If things start to go pear shape for them, then we will see what Allen is made of.
