Nolan or Maclaren

Postby oldnic » Tue Aug 21, 2018 8:01 pm

Nolan or Maclaren. Who is going to be the first manager to be sacked. Neither have a clue. Before you moan about not being Stags related, just look at some of the rubbish posted on here by the usual suspects

McLaren imo, think Nolan will get 10-12 games and if it doesn't improve I would imagine he'll be sacked

In a straight choice?

I would rather have a mcClaren Supercar than a Nolan sister. Though both can fit two men in at once, have huge exhaust pipes and make a hell of a racket when pushed hard!!

Either, Both. It's of no importance.

Listening to Nolan’s aftermatch interview, he sounds like a man who hasn’t got a clue what’s happening or how to turn it around

No...it's surprisingly Gary Johnson. Russell Milton takes over as caretaker manager once again.

Bugger, thought 8-1 Cheltenham relegation were very generous odds.

McClaren has been overhyped and over rated far too long and for me hes been so lucky to get where he has.....gets the England job under false pretences for doing sod all at Middlesbrough and since then has screwed up Forest, Derby twice and Newcastle and now looks to be doing the same thing at QPR .....what do Chairmen see in him.......???

If you want Nolan at the helm then a few supportive Tweets of 'give it more time' on Hardy's page will help! :P

Personally, i suspect Nolan will be there a while longer. Much as Hardy's ego demands the adulation of being near the top, i think the stark reality is he'd struggle to find a decent 'yes man' as replacement. And given how much Loadsamoney! has already spent i reckon he'll be reticent to muller his moulah with having to pay off Nolan and/or invest in new players.

He'll be hoping the majority of fans keep onside, and his mate KN can rescue them from the abyss without having to shell out further
If i look in pain it's because i'm thinking

My sentiments entirely about McClaren. Should not be involved with football. Nolan a waste of space.

Everyone talks McLaren up as being a fantastic coach, but not great at managing. Perhaps that's why his only major success was at FC Twente, which is probably the Dutch equivalent of what Leicester did by winning the Premier League. A coach rather than a manager as such is probably a more continental approach. How he ever keeps landing jobs in England is baffling.

Hardy and Nolan are such bum chums that I can see him being kept on for a good while longer yet

Let’s hope so. I can’t abide the bloke. Both of them actually.

Yes but Rowett different, a real football man, has his limitations. McClaren absolutely useless

England u21’s will be playing a Euro qualifier at the Proact in October.

£10 adults
£5 concessions

Decent fixture for a non league side to have to be honest!
