Dates back to a game in our last promotion to League 1, 2001/02 when we beat them at the Mill in a fiery game and they damaged our changing rooms.

And it has carried on since then. They’re a load of big timing southern cloppers

I actually hate the Mockney raspberries more than Chesterfield TBH.

The Spireites going down would be hysterical, going bust would be even better. But in the wider scheme of things if the stay up by taking points of our promotion rivals I'd be content with that, as long as we go up of course.

We seem to have shared divisions with Luton more than any other club over the last 17 years. They're Billy big bolllocks and have spent years bigging themselves up. Joe Kinnear and his mob were so disrespectful back in 2001-02 that it's been an issue ever since.

Fortunately for us we've seemingly had the head to head upper hand since.

You can understand why Millwall took such exception to them in the eighties.

That day when they turned up with Kinnear and Harford.

God bless Neil Watmough.

It's partly to do with the 01/02 dressing room temper tantrum post the 4-1 drubbing they recieved that day. Much more was their attitude when they went down to the BSP.
'We'll be out of here in no time and back in the FL where we belong. We are too big a club to be playing down here after those nasty chaps gave us a 30 point deduction. No body will be able to live with us what with our massive support n all.
The first season down there they had no respect for anyone, but they failed, and the season after that, and the season after that, and indeed the season after that until they escaped. Every club hated them much as they will you as no doubt you'll have the same attitude when you go down.

It's a tough, tough League.
Ask Grimsby,
Tranmere,
Wrexham,
Orient,
Hartlepool,
and indeed us.

Take it lightly and you'll have your pants whipped down before you can say, 'brown paper bag'.

I know York fans hate them than any other club in the universe so Mansfield fans aren't alone. I also think Luton as a place is a dump as is the ground and they have a slightly larger than usual assortment of knuckleheaded numpties amongst their fanbase. Surprised nothing kicked off at yesterday's game tbh.

Can we not have a Let's have a thread about Luton' as well?

We aren't going down and even if we did we certainly wouldn't be 'hated'. What an awful thing to suggest. I'm wounded at the thought.

15 years ago today one of the best feelings ever being a Stags fan, last minute winner away from home.
