The most unlikely looking footballer I have ever seen!

What is it? Looks like something Dapper Laughs would come up with.

He is dressed too smart to be a sheep herder. I can understand why he don't want to be recognised though . Signing for the dippers , I bet he has signed the contract as Ben Dover .

Why is he wearing a hat that says NOB on it?

Doesn't look like a footballer, but he is a decent left back. Quick and is a good crosser. Could turn out to be their best signing this window. Apparently he is currently injured, perhaps one of his strings have broken. :)

The best signing they've made is the young keeper that makes Jason White look like Gordon Banks. He is a really gem.

There probably won’t be a club if we go down tbh, therefore staying up means everything...

Carson trying to convince the blind faithful that somebody wants to come in now? Can't change the squad, could pay well over the odds for a potential non-league side? Pity John Batchelor passed away

I suppose how things are going , they would welcome any new owner . The club is more important than any relegation . Although o don't like them I would hate to see them go under .
They needed a new owner before the transfer window . I can't see any new owner making a difference with their results.

personally I'd love to see them go under, it would be hilarious . as you say, can't see a new owner doing much good now. might get them a few wins if they get a morale boost from it but they're in trouble

Apparently the new consortium is ? According to a sheep molester.....

I'm hearing that Ashley Carson is giving it large that he's fronting an alternative takeover bid.

I'm hearing that bid is backed by a number of South Yorkshire based cronies of Carson's.

I'm hearing that Carson believes he can convince Dave Allen his bid is better than the Chinese one.

Which I hear could be everything every Chesterfield fan could hope for and more.

What I'm hearing might be wrong.

Perhaps Carson, through 'Moondog', will confirm once and for all that he wants away from our club and this is all nonsense.

But I'll say one thing here and now.

If Ashley Carson is part of CFC going forward I will never, ever attend another game whilst that's the case.

Couldn't make it up.on BOB'S BOARD lol

These are the number of points it took to survive in recent seasons in League 2....

2016/17 - 48
2015/16 - 44
2014/15 - 46
2013/14 - 51
2012/13 - 52
2011/12 - 46
2010/11 - 49

The average points total needed for survival over the last 7 seasons is 48. Chesterfield have 15 games left to get the 21 points (1.4 points per game) needed to hit that total.

From the last 15 games, they have gained 19 points (1.3 points per game), a big improvement on their previous form, but not still not quite good enough to get that average. This doesn't account for momentum of course and under Slack Jester, they have built some. There could be an argument that their improvement will continue and they will eventually hit the 1.4 goal per game average needed to hit the hypothetical points total.

Form over 15 games isn't that informative either. Form is usually measured over 5 games. If we look at that, they have 6 points from their last 5 (1.2 points per game). Even worse. They have a relatively easy February, followed by a very difficult March on paper. I think it will be won or lost for them this month. If they can't pick up points against the likes of Morecambe and Cambridge this month, they'll be down and out by the time they face Exeter, Lincoln and Notts in March.

Stagsnet. We are 4th in the league after a coasting victory today, click on our forum looking to enjoy our latest victory amongst like minded souls and we are revelling in those next doors downfall as the hottest topic on here.

It's time we shook this mentality off for a while, concentrate on ourselves, in an ideal world we will be 2 divisions above them next season and the best they could dream of is being in the same one. This thread makes us look obsessed though, just my opinion of course.

I kind of agree Ben but il never forget the ridicule we received from their lot when we were in a similar position .. The stick we recieved over our league position , over Haslam and when we got relegated to the conference was terrible
No one has to read this thread . We may both be in the same league next year . But if we do go up or they go down then I want to savour every minute .

 it would take more than a thread about those sheep lovers to offend me. Nobody is enjoying their demise more than me, believe me.
