Don't you remember how hard it was to get out of the conference and what an achievement it is?

Added that they're a local rival.

Plymouth are going up, would you rather a trip to Lincoln or Plymouth next season?

I don't think it's an obsession, just an interest because a fair number of our ex-players are there. Besides would sooner have a local game, rather than the likes of Forest Green or Tranmere for example.

I'd rather be playing Plymouth in League One.

They should be getting much higher gates than what they are. A City club with absolutely no football competition around for miles and miles.... should be circa 12k really. Plus they've had a fantastic season what with knockin premiership teams out the cup.. even we'd get gates not much lower than that even with all the Notts/Derbys/S Yorks clubs around us!!

Tator mi owd..... tator... I know people who watch Wednesday, Derby, Forest & Man Utd on a regular basis - and they all live here in this great town. Clearly our proximity to other clubs will always have an affect on our attendances until we have consistent success. Lincoln are lucky in that respect.

I think their support has been amazing. Their fans have really got on board following their success. Would we echo that, not in a million years. Next season, despite a successful season Lincoln, Chesterfield, Notts County and Grimsby will all get bigger attendances than us.

The core towns are about the same size, with Lincoln's Metropolitan Area population (i.e. commutable area) being slightly higher than the Mansfield District Council area. But I'd say that the outlying areas are much more heavily populated around here. Obviously we have the problem of people following other clubs not too far away, but my guess is that in League 1 we'd average 4500 for home matches, assuming mid-table performance. Lincoln would be about the same, maybe a little higher.
Lincoln's "City" status is there because of the Cathedral, and isn't very relevant to the attendances.

Flicked through the channels in between BSB races to see N Arnold score a superb winner deep in injury time. Looks like they're up

I don't care about them. I was merely pointing out an excellent finish by one of our former players. It reminded me of the Hereford game if I'm honest.

Another proper club in League 2 next season and a very short away trip for me. You can all pop in for a coffee on the way to the game if you want.

Millwall set to swoop in with a bid for Sean raggett. Their team is already being picked apart, like ours was.

Rhead won't be retained for league football. Be interesting to see what their rookie managers do to rebuild the side ready for league football.
