More on TV cameraman misses Day's goal
Rhys Day's goal against Luton was the first Stags goal scored in a competitive game that was not captured on video since September 1998, when Iyseden Christie scored against Hull at Field Mill in a 2-0 win. On that occasion, the cameraman had been changing his tape when the goal went in. Remarkably, the week before that game, another Stags goal had been missed by the cameras when Steve Harper scored in a 3-2 defeat at Scunthorpe. Tuesday's goal for Rhys Day was the first occasion since the start of games being routinely video'd in 1990, that the first goal of a player's career had been missed. Martin ------------- TV cameraman misses Day's goal Poor old Rhys Day - his first goal and the TV cameraman misses it. The footage shown on YTV, Anglia, Carlton London and Sky Sports News was all the same. I'm fairly sure there was only one camera last night (on the gantry) - a shame, as at the last two midweek home games there had been another camera in the Bishop Street stand - but not last night.
