Stags bolster squad with loan signing

Stags’ boss David Flitcroft has today bolstered his squad with the loan signing of left-sided central midfielder Timi Elšnik from Derby County until the end of the season.
The Slovenian youth international reunites with the Mansfield manager after impressing on loan at Swindon last season, playing 26 times and scoring five goals.
Speaking of the 20-year-old, David Flitcroft said: “Timi is a player I worked very closely with at Swindon.
“He is a midfielder with a high quality passing range, creative in his work and who has the ability to score goals from midfield.
“He is one of the best young professionals I have had the pleasure of working with and has great core values as a person. He is an extremely committed professional.”
The manager added: “I felt it important to bolster the squad following the news of our international call-ups as well as the possibility of us being without Jacob Mellis.”
Elšnik has been allocated squad number 20.
Meanwhile, David Flitcroft has confirmed that business has now been concluded at One Call Stadium, both incomings and outgoings.
ELSNIK MAKES MANSFIELD LOAN MOVE

Derby County midfielder Timi Max Elsnik has joined Sky Bet League Two side Mansfield Town.
The 20-year-old has linked up with the Stags in a loan deal which will run until the end of the 2018/19 campaign.
Elsnik spent last season on loan at Swindon Town in League Two, where he scored five goals from 26 appearances.
The Slovenian youth international has made three first-team appearances for Derby, all coming off the bench in the EFL Cup.
Derby County would like to wish Timi every success during his time with Mansfield.
