Stags Youth 0 Wrexham Youth 0
Stags Youth 2 Chesterfield Youth 0
Stags Youth 7 Hereford Youth 1

In what has turned out to be a sweat for the Stags Youth Team, they eventually took a hold of the Youth League title on Saturday Morning against their local rivals Chesterfield on the Stags Training Pitch.

Then on Monday night, the team hammered a poor Hereford outfit 7-1 in the Quarter Final Cup tie in the Midlands Cup at Field Mill.

Since the Christmas break the Stags Youth have only had the one match against Port Vale their title contenders and were turned over 3 -2.

So sweaty palms were in order for the young Stags as they had to complete their outstanding 3 matches before 15 Feb, and also pull in their Hereford cup tie.

However Wrexham were up first on Friday 7 Feb at Teversal and on a heavy pitch a battle ensued and one point a peice seemed a fair outcome, in a scrappy affair.

On to Saturday 8 Feb at the Stags Training Ground and an improved performance against the Spirites with Oliver and a Buxton header sealing the Stags victory.
The flowing football was returning and the Stags were settling into their pre Christmas rhythm again.
Stags Team : Coates, Davies, Baptiste, Buxton, Oliver, Robinson, Carter, Lloyd, Hall, Hanky, Beardsley.
Subs not used Riles, Morgan

Then on Monday night, goals from Dean Hankey 3, Mark Carter, Callum Lloyd, Mark Robinson, & Jerome Allott secured a semi final place in the Midlands Youth cup in a 7-1 win over Hereford at Field Mill.
Hankey was carried off. Mitchell played for the first 45 minutes. Baptiste didn't play.

For technical reasons, I cannot at the moment update the youth team pages. Apologies - Martin.
