Stags’ boss Adam Murray has praised his players for the 'very good point' they picked up away at Hartlepool United this afternoon. Read more at http://www.mansfieldtown.net/news/article/2016-17/murray-pleased-with-hartlepool-point-3313064.aspx#q7PdrGXzfmfyqoRU.99 The 34-year-old Stags’ chief revealed to the press post-match that midfielder Adam Chapman has left the club today by mutual consent and Murray says it is a fresh start for both parties. “It was just one of them situations where I sat with Chappy, it’s been tough for me, I’ve known the kid for 12 years, 13 years, and we just felt it wasn’t working. “I think he’s somebody that he needs to play with confidence, he needs an environment where he can express himself. “So we looked at it and we had a conversation, us and him, as a football club and an individual, and came to an agreement that it was best that we went our separate ways and [have] a fresh start for both of us.” ---------------- Chapman leaves Stags by mutual consent Adam Chapman chad.co.uk, Saturday 17 September 2016 Midfielder Adam Chapman has today left Mansfield Town after mutually agreeing to part ways with the club. The 26-year-old, who has now finished his second spell at the club, made seven first team appearances this season, but missed the last two because of a groin injury. Manager Adam Murray told the club’s website: “Chappy (Adam Chapman) and I have sat down and mutually agreed that it was best for both parties if we went our separate ways. “Adam is a player who has to play with 100 per cent confidence and with a smile on his face. At times, I don’t feel he has done; for whatever reason that may be. “I have a very close relationship with Adam. I played with him [in Murray’s playing days] and we had a very good partnership on the pitch.
