Posted by "oldyellow" on the Stagsnet messageboard: Posted: Sat Jan 18, 2003 5:38 pm todays a day for us to smile we hadn't beat the spirites in quite a while the stags fans turned out in force & were a different class of course unlike the spires who were quiet & drab with their only chant being scab,scab,scab the stags started brightly & were quite busy but we were missing the main man issy them boys in blue had only one hope they slipped the ref a brown paper envelope cos out of nowhere as we could see he gave the spires a penalty against the run of play we were 1-0 down till dis equalised for the town then bradley came on & what a laugh 2 minutes,red card & a early bath we then had our chances but it looked like a draw till at the far post liam popped up to score we jumped up in delight & boy did we cheer a bloomin good reason to go out on the beer COME ON YOU STAGS WE'LL SING IT OUT LOUD SO A BIG WELL DONE LADS YOU DID US ALL PROUD |
