STAGS EXPECT SELL OUT
11th April 2002 14:56

The Stags' season finale at home to Carlisle looks certain to be a sell-out after Field Mill was today besieged by fans keen to snap up tickets.
The club are eager to avoid a repeat of the turnstile chaos that occurred at Tuesday night's home clash with Cheltenham and, with the Carlisle game on Saturday, April 20 possibly being the promotion decider, it was decided to take the necessary steps.
Fans have certainly responded and home supporters will be given the South Stand away end as well as the usual North and West Stands, with Carlisle offered a 500-seat allocation in the usually-empty Bishop Street Stand.
"It all went a bit crazy on Tuesday but it was nice to see all the fans turn out," said chairman Keith Haslam.
"We didn't anticipate there being so many coming on the night and they were magnificent and I believe the team responded to that."
The club have already filled 12 coachloads for Saturday's vital trip to York City and fans are advised to get there early as City's away capacity is limited and the game is not all-ticket.
