The 23-year-old has featured frequently for us over the past few weeks, making 13 appearances in all competitions. Arguably his best display came in our 1-0 home win over Plymouth Argyle in November. Speaking shortly after penning his new deal, Lambe said: “I am excited to extend my stay. I feel I have done okay so far this season, chipping in with some good performances, but I know I still need to fight for my place in the team and help us move forward." He added: “It’s been great since I signed and the lads have been brilliant. Lambe began his career with Ipswich and had a loan spell with Bristol Rovers before a three-year stint in Major League Soccer with Toronto FC. He left MLS after two seasons and 55 appearances and had a three-month stay with Swedish side Nykopings BIS prior to joining the Stags. ------------------ |
