STAGS V WYCOMBE STAT ATTACK
11th January 2003 11:41

Wycombe, FA-cup giant killers and semifinalists two seasons ago, have only played once at Field Mill in league fixtures. This happened in the 1993-94 season, when Wycombe were promoted from the Conf and the Stags just relegated from the 2nd division. Although the Stags finished in mid-table and Wycombe went on to be promoted via the play-off system, the Stags recorded their highest home-win of the 1993-94 campaign, also one that saw no goal-less league game at the Mill, by thrashing the Chairboys 3-0 thanks to goals by Wayne Fairclough, Stewart Hadley and Steve Wilkinson in front of 3009 on February 12, 1994. Just a few weeks earlier, Wycombe won their home fixture by the only goal of the game. That same season, Steve Prindiville, who had 28 Stags league games on his belt, was on Wycombe's books without playing a league game for the Chairboys.

Earlier this season, the teams shared six goals at Adams Park with Wycombe equalizing in the 90th minute.
