The 21-year-old, who joined us in the summer on a free transfer from Wigan Athletic, links up with the County Durham club, who are currently anchored to the bottom of the Football League.

The loan deal includes the option for the Stags to recall Rakish to One Call Stadium with prior notice.

Boss Adam Murray told http://www.mansfieldtown.net: "At the moment, Rakish doesn't have an extensive amount of Football League experience, and this loan move will enable him to gain valuable match minutes.

"At this moment in time, we need someone in that position [of striker] who has 'seen it and done it' at this level.

"We are looking to add to our squad over the next few days," the manager added.

The 21-year-old striker joined The Stags during the summer following his release from Wigan Athletic having turned professional with The Latics in 2012.

A powerful and athletic attacker, Bingham scored on his debut for Mansfield in their 2-1 win at Exeter City at the start of September and also found the net twice when they beat Carlisle United 3-2 a fortnight later.

Bingham made a lively substitute appearance against Pools recently when he came off the bench in the second half of our Boxing Day draw at The One Call Stadium.

The 6ft centre-forward will go straight in to contention for Saturday’s Sky Bet League Two game at Wycombe Wanderers, subject to Football Association and Football League clearance.
