We are delighted to announce the signing of left-back Amari’i Bell on a six-month youth loan from Birmingham City.

Bell, who spent time on loan at Nuneaton Town and Kidderminster Harriers last season, joins us with immediate effect and trained with his new team-mates for the first time this morning.

The youngster is eligible to stay with us until Saturday 03 January - and will feature in our pre-season campaign, which includes a match with his parent employers.

“I’m happy to be here and I can’t wait to get started,” said Bell. “I like to have the ball and pass it, but if the gaffer plays a different ways then I can easily adapt to that.”

Bell is well-known to first team coach, Micky Moore, whom coached him at Solihull Moors in the infancy of his career and then signed him on loan at Nuneaton Town.

“I’ve worked with Micky at Solihull Moors, Nuneaton Town and now here and I’m happy to be working with him again. This is a good league club and as a young player it’s what I need.”

He added: “The main thing [about the move] is experience and I need some Football League games under my belt.”

Burton-born Bell, who spent time on loan at Nuneaton Town and Kidderminster Harriers last season, trained with his new team mates for the first time this morning as Stags began to address the lack of left-sided players in the current squad.

The youngster is eligible to stay with Mansfield until Saturday, 3rd January and will feature in the pre-season campaign, which includes a match with his parent employers.

“I’m happy to be here and I can’t wait to get started,” said Bell. “I like to have the ball and pass it, but if the gaffer plays a different way then I can easily adapt to that.”

Bell is well-known to first team coach, Micky Moore, who coached him at Solihull Moors in the infancy of his career and then signed him on loan at Nuneaton Town.

He said: “I’ve worked with Micky at Solihull Moors, Nuneaton Town, and now here and I’m happy to be working with him again. This is a good League club and as a young player it’s what I need.”

He added: “The main thing (about the move) is experience and I need some Football League games under my belt.”

So far he has only made one first team appearance for the Blues, on 28th January 2014, starting at left back against Championship leaders Leicester City in a 2-1 defeat.

Blues youngster Amari'i Bell has today joined League Two side Mansfield Town on a Youth Loan.
The loan runs until 3 January 2015 inclusive. The terms of the deal mean that Blues have an instant recall on Bell if needed and he is also eligible to play for Blues in non-first team matches if required (e.g. U21 matches).

It is the 20-year-old left-back's fourth loan spell.

He had two stints at Nuneaton Town last season, before finishing the 2013/14 campaign with Kidderminster Harriers.

To date Bell has one Blues first team appearance to his name. That came in the 2-1 Sky Bet Championship defeat against Leicester City in January 2014 at St. Andrew's.

Paul Cox's Mansfield Town side finished last season's League Two campaign in 11th spot.
