BBC STOCKPORT PREVIEW
25th December 2002 21:26

Mansfield Town may be without midfielders Tom Curtis and Neil MacKenzie for the home game with Stockport.
New signing Curtis was replaced by Lee Williamson at half-time in the 1-0 victory over Barnsley at the weekend and is rated 50-50 for the game.

MacKenzie is struggling with a knee injury that kept him on the sidelines against the Tykes.

Scott Sellars is well on the road to recovery from a ligament problem, but the game will come too soon for the experienced midfielder, as player-boss Keith Curle looks to secure a third consecutive victory without conceding a goal.

Stockport player-manager Carlton Palmer has no new injury worries ahead of the trip to Mansfield.

He is unlikely to make many changes to the side in the wake of last Friday's victory over Northampton.

Martin Pemberton and Keith Briggs will be vying for a central midfield berth, while on-loan Middlesbrough goalkeeper Brad Jones is again likely to have to settle for a place on the bench.

Palmer, who has admitted he is considering retiring from playing, is not fully fit following a thigh injury.
