Dario Still Interested In White

Crewe boss Dario Gradi admits that he is still interested in Mansfield Town's Andy White but he is no rush to bring him back to Gresty Road. The lanky Mansfield striker is in Keith Curle's first-team plans at Field Mill and he started against Blackpool on Saturday. White made two substitute appearances for the Alex and impressed Gradi with his training ground enthusiasm.
Dario told crewealex.net: “As we expected, Keith Curle wants to have a look at Andy White and they need time to assess things and to see what they want to do. The key to a permanent deal was Colin Little and now that he is out of the equation they would probably want money for Andy. We are not in the position to pay for him but we will wait and see what happens because he is out of contract in the summer and he is a player we are interested in, but there is no rush because I've got three strikers in form and at the moment I'm only playing two of them. Of course, if Paul Edwards does well on loan at Southport then that could solve the Andy White issue. I've told Paul that if he can retain his place in the Southport team then he should be ready for my first-team squad, but if he doesn't then he won't be any where near it.”
