Malta schedule finalised
mansfieldtown.net 10th June 2013 Maltese First Division Champions Naxxar Lions will host a pre-season friendly match amid our trip to Malta next month. The match against The Lions will take place on Saturday 06 July with a local time kick off at 8.45pm at Melita FC Sports Complex. Entry is FREE. The players’ schedule is as follows, with specific training times to be confirmed. Training sessions are expected to be held at Melita FC Sports Complex. Tuesday 02 July - Players & staff fly out to Malta Wednesday 03 July - AM training session followed by early evening training session Thursday 04 July - AM training session followed by early evening training session Friday 05 July - AM training session followed by early evening training session Saturday 06 July - matchday - friendly game at Melita FC Sports Complex.versus Naxxar Lions (8.45pm kick off) Sunday 07 July - Rest day Monday 08 July - AM training session followed by early evening training session Tuesday 09 July - Players & staff return to UK Manager Paul Cox told http://www.mansfieldtown.net: “This will be a worthwhile trip for a number of reasons. For one, the lads will be together in the same environment for a number of days which will be good for team ethic and for the new lads to bond. “It will mostly be about improving our fitness levels and playing our first game of pre-season.” After hearing that scores of fans already booking flights, the manager added: “It is pleasing to hear that a number of our fans will be travelling to Malta. Tickets for the clash have been priced at £10 Adults and £5 Concessions (if purchased in advance), and £12 Adults and £6 Concessions (if purchased on matchday). The Blades will be looking to earn promotion to the Championship this season, having lost in the League One Play-Offs for each of the past two seasons.
