The 25-year-old, who played in every of our five seasons in non-league, fired eight goals last term in our championship-winning campaign.

A fans’ favourite, he is the current longest-serving player at the club along with Alan Marriott having signed in January 2009.

Louis Briscoe said: “I’m elated to have signed. It gives me the chance to be part of a Mansfield team that can prove we can do it in the Football League.”

Said Paul Cox: “I'm really pleased that Louis has put pen to paper. He is a goalscorer from wide areas and it is important that we continue to raise the bar with Louis, and the whole squad, so he can enhance his goals tally even more."
