Updated 12.40pm, 03.12.02 Mansfield Town say there'll be no official statement regarding the appointment of a new manager today. That's despite BBC Radio Nottingham's understanding that Keith Curle took training this morning. The only comment Mansfield have made is that there are still one or two loose ends to tie up before any contract can be signed. At least that's an admission from the club, who've otherwise remained tight lipped that Curle will become the stags' fourth manager in three and a half years. However, BBC Radio Nottingham has learn't that Curle arrived at Field Mill this morning and did take training with the first team squad. Chairman, Keith Haslam has so far been unavilable for comment, and the delay in announcing a replacement for Stuart Watkiss, who told the press that he'd been sacked yesterday morning, could be down to contractual differences. There's no news yet of a replacement for assistant manager Neil Richardson, either. |
