Due to advice from Nottinghamshire Police, our home game against Luton Town has been re-arranged.

The match will now take place at One Call Stadium on Sunday 18 November (kick-off 1.00pm).

Paul Cox told Mansfield 103.2 in the pre-match interview before the Southport game:

"For me, it's absolute madness. Both teams play on the Tuesday. I don't see why both teams couldn't play on the Friday. It's come as a massive disadvantage to us now because we only get one day's rest before we go away to Macclesfield. So it just seems as though the league have some sort of favouritism towards Luton and Macclesfield. I'm a bit disappointed with the way it's happened."

Mansfield travel to Slough for a FA Cup first round replay tomorrow and will now face Luton on Sunday at the One Call Stadium, a game rearranged for a third time.

It was moved to Thursday for television but then put back to Saturday because of the cup replay. But on police advice, because of Forest's game with Sheffield Wednesday and Carl Froch's world title fight with Yusaf Mack later that night, it has been put back to Sunday at 1pm.

But Cox is unhappy, as Mansfield face Macclesfield away two days later.

Cox said: "The league are now making us play on a Sunday which is absolutely mental. Why we could not play on a Friday night I don't know. It puts us at a disadvantage when we play Macclesfield. But I don't want to look beyond this game with Slough."

The game was originally scheduled for Saturday. It was moved to Thursday for coverage on Premier Sports TV. Mansfield and Luton's replays in the FA Cup on Tuesday meant that the game was moved from Thursday back to Saturday and could no longer be shown on TV. Now the game has been moved again, from Saturday to Sunday, on police advice. Mansfield played Luton at Field Mill two seasons ago on a Sunday in the FA Trophy semi-final first leg.
