Rainworth Miners Welfare will receive an added financial boost as Conference next-door neighbours Mansfield Town play their youth matches at Kirklington Road this season.

The Stags have offered an attractive financial package to the Wrens for use of the stadium.

And, Rainworth say that the agreement will go a long way towards making up for the disappointing attendance after, for reasons beyond their control, they were unable to send a first team for the recent friendly.

Manager Kevin Gee said: “It's just one more example of the relationship we have with the bigger clubs in our area.

“Instead of taking umbrage because of the side they sent to play us, we continue to work with them for the benefit of both clubs.”
