Cox signs Cheltenham full back mansfieldtown.net, Fri 09 Mar 2012 Paul Cox has strengthened his defensive options by the signing of full-back Danny Andrew from Cheltenham Town on an emergency loan until the end of the season. http://www.mansfieldtown.net/page/NewsDetail/0,,10325~2642515,00.html The 21-year-old, who has also enjoyed spells with Tamworth and Kidderminster, has made 11 first team starts this season for Cheltenham, who sit second in League Two. Andrew was rewarded with a new contract last summer after missing just three league games throughout the whole of last season. He will head straight in to our squad as we face Tamworth at the Lamb tomorrow afternoon. Manager Paul Cox said: "It's been no secret that we've been looking for another defender to add to the squad. "Danny's a good defender with a sweet left foot and has played a decent amount of games for Cheltenham this season. "There may another [signing] in the next week or so, as we need to make sure we have enough bodies in all areas," he added --------------- Danny Departs On Loan ctfc.com, Fri 09 Mar 2012 Robins left back Danny Andrew has today joined Mansfield Town on a loan deal which will see him through to the end of the season. http://www.ctfc.com/page/LatestNews/0,,10434~2642505,00.html The loan move will also see Danny feature for Mansfield in a possible playoff campaign in the BlueSquare Premier division but Cheltenham do have the option of a recall after 28 days. The 21 year-old has made 14 appearances for Cheltenham this season but has been dislodged from his normal starting spot following the arrival of Everton and England U19 international Luke Garbutt. Andrew has made 70 appearances during his time here at the Abbey Business Stadium and he has scored four times.
