INJURY AND SUSPENSION NEWS
4th November 2002 15:50

News on Sellars, Vaughan, Lawrence, Christie, Moore, Jervis, Scott, Reddington.
----------
mansfieldtown.net reports that

Scott Sellars is looking like being out of action for 4 /5 weeks after suffering a very badly twisted ankle ligament.

Tony Vaughan, who had already been suffering slight back pains, got his boot caught up in the soft surface of the pitch causing him to fall awkwardly, twisting his back. This makes it very doubtful that he be included in the line-up against Notts County.

Liam Lawrence and Iyseden Christie both took knocks to the ankle but will be expected to start against Notts County despite still being in some pain.

Neil Moore will miss out against Notts County due to a one-match suspension.

Dave Jervis's progress has been very positive and he should be in training by the end of the week.

Dion Scott should also be back soon and playing in a behind closed doors friendly game this week.

Stuart Reddington is coming to the end of his loan at Burton Albion. Albion have intimated some interest. However there is still a place here at Field Mill for the likeable chap. But Mansfield have also received interest from a third division club who would like to speak with Reddington and his agent about a possible deal. The end decision is left firmly up to the player himself, and Stags are expecting to have some news by the end of this week. According to mansfieldtown.net, if Reddington decides to leave, that would allow Watkiss to go looking elsewhere for a possible loan signing with a view to making a more permanent arrangement.
