OSSC Donation to SFU's 'Free Field Mill' Campaign

OSSC Press Release:
18th February 2011

- START -

Further to a recent members vote, Ollerton Stags Supporters Club are pleased to announce a donation of £1,000 to Stags Fans United's Free Field Mill legal campaign fund. This entails money already raised by OSSC being given to SFU (the Mansfield Town FC Supporters' Trust) to contribute towards John Radford's ongoing legal battle with the previous MTFC owner Keith Haslam and his company Stags Ltd.

Ollerton Stags pride themselves on empowering their members to make decisions on how funds raised are redistributed to help the football club and Committee Member Nicola stated: “we are pleased to be able to donate a significant amount to this new fundraising venture by SFU and MTFC which represents a majority vote of our membership. Already this season we have given in excess of £40 per member back to the football club via sponsorships, purchasing essential equipment and supporting the club's own events. This is a seven-fold return on our £6 membership fee and we hope it may make others consider joining in future!”

OSSC's next fundraising event is the annual Chuffin' Mick's Music Quiz – back by popular demand at the Ollerton House on Wellow Road, Ollerton from 8pm onwards, Wednesday 2nd March 2011. Everyone is welcome at just £1 entry with lots of chances to win!
