Steve's company Hymas Homes became the our shirt sponsor this season for the first time and his commitment to the Club was never more evident than during the close season when he actively encouraged supporters to take up our season ticket offer.

Hymas Homes have built several small to medium size residential developments in and around Mansfield ranging from five properties upwards helping create employment.

On joining the Board, Steve Hymas said: "Becoming a Director and significant shareholder in the Stags is a dream come true for me.

"I follow the team home and away and my passion for the Club has never been in doubt.

"Investing in the future of the Club was an easy decision for me. I am looking forward to being part of the team that takes the Stags back into the Football League."

Hymas was born on Stella Street within sight of Field Mill 47 years ago.He and his partner of 27 years, Jill Cruickshank, have two daughters, Kelly aged 25 and Kim aged 21. Steve's father Jack was also a season ticket holder at Field Mill.

Steve Hymas joins Andrew Perry, Andrew Saunders, Steve Middleton, Stewart Rickersey, Colin Dobell and Wincent Kordula as Directors of the Club.

This is the second time in recent years that the Stags shirt sponsor has become a shareholder and Director of the Club.

Steve Hymas follows Chairman Andrew Perry, whose company Perry Electrical were shirt sponsors between 2003-07. Andrew Perry, in welcoming Steve Hymas to the Board said: "From the day we took over at the football club, Steve has been knocking on the door on a weekly basis to help move the Football Club forward.

"We feel that this is a great opportunity for both parties as we are coming to the end of our second season as owners. It would have been unfair on any investor had they joined before now.

"It marks another exciting chapter in the history of Mansfield Town Football Club."

He added: "Future shirt sponsors should not worry that becoming a shareholder or Director is a condition of becoming our shirt sponsor!"
