ALTRINCHAM GAME POSTPONED FROM 19 JANUARY

from http://www.altrinchamfc.co.uk/alty1.htm: AFC Wimbledon announce that "Following a brief inspection of the pitch, tomorrow night's game against Altrincham has been postponed. It is now scheduled to take place, weather permitting, on Tuesday 19 January, kick off 7.45 pm". So, our league game in the Blue Square Premier due to be played that night against Mansfield Town (away) will itself be postponed. ------------------ EARLIER STORIES: If the AFC Wimbledon vs Altrincham FA Trophy tie is postponed on Tuesday 12 January, then it will be re-scheduled to Tuesday 19 January, according to FA rules, meaning that Mansfield vs Altrincham game on that night will have to be postponed. ------------------ from http://www.altrinchamfc.co.uk/alty1.htm: Saturday's match between AFC Wimbledon and Altrincham has been postponed. This game is now rescheduled for Tuesday, 12th January at 7.45pm. This, in turn, means that the Altrincham v Kettering Town league match scheduled for that date is now postponed because FA Trophy games take precedence over BSP Conference matches. AFC Wimbledon state that "The game is now scheduled to be played on Tuesday 12 January. However, the weather forecast is not encouraging and we will be keeping in touch with the FA about the need for a further inspection on Monday". Earlier story: AFC Wimbledon say that "If Saturday's game is called off, it can be played the following Tuesday, 12 January. If the weather prevents any postponed game being played on that date, then we understand that Trophy ties take precedence over midweek league games (but not Saturday league games) - so if the extreme weather persists we might find that the home game against Grays (19 January) is displaced by this Trophy tie". As things stand, Altrincham are at home to Kettering Town next Tuesday (12th) and Mansfield Town (away) the following Tuesday (19th). |
