Turner signs pro deal
CHAD
MANSFIELD TOWN have given young left-back Ben Turner his first professional contract.
The 17-year-old signed a one year deal yesterday, with an option of a further year after completing two seasons as a youth scholar.

He was a regular in the Stags' youth team last season and played a handful of games in the reserves.

After his signing, he spoke to the club's website http://www.mansfieldtown.net: "I am delighted right now. I will work my socks off on the training ground and try and progress with this club."

Manager David Holdsworth also told http://www.mansfieldtown.net: "Ben is a talented young man with a bright future ahead of him. We hope he can fulfil his potential here at Field Mill."

Turner handed deal by Stags

YOUNG left-back (Ben) Turner has been handed a one-year deal at Mansfield Town with the option of a second.

It will be the youngster's first professional deal after impressing in the reserves last season.
Holdsworth said: "Ben is certainly someone we believe has a bright future.
"We will work on his fitness and strength over the summer and help him to become a better player.
Turner is expected to spend the opening stages of next season on loan at Corby Town.
He said: "I am delighted right now. I will work my socks off on the training ground to try to progress with this club."
