NEW ATTENDANCE RECORD SET

The crowd of 598 at Lewes yesterday was the lowest ever to watch a Mansfield Town game in League or Cup (excluding Nottinghamshire cup competitions).

The previous lowest were:

Cup (away): 608 for Setanta Shield at York in November 2008 (lost on pens) and 627 for Associate Members Cup at Wrexham in 1991 (lost 1-0)

Football League (home): 800 against Torquay in 1939 (drew 0-0)

Conference (away): 872 at Forest Green in November 2008 (lost 1-0).

Football League (away): 952 at Darlington in Division 4 in 1983 (drew 0-0)
