Wrexham match postponed again
CHAD.co.uk, by Tim Morriss, 9 Jan 2008
NEXT Wednesday's re-arranged match between the Stags and Wrexham has been postponed again, this time to a date to be arranged.
The game had been switched yesterday from next Tuesday, 24 hours earlier, because of problems with the water supply at Field Mill.

But this lunchtime Stags chief executive Stephen Booth told Chad that because the club could not be sure when the water supply, due to be turned off at 8pm on Tuesday evening, would be reconnected in the area the match could not go ahead as planned on Wednesday.

The match - billed as a relegation 'six-pointer' with both clubs now in the relegation zone - was originally called off last year because of international call-ups affecting Wrexham.

The Stags, Wrexham and the Football League will be dicussing a future date for the vital match later today.

Wrexham match put back 24 hours
CHAD.co.uk, by Tim Morriss, 8 Jan 2008

MANSFIELD Town's match with Wrexham next Tuesday has been postponed for 24 hours.
It has been put back for health and safety reasons because of Severn Trent Water maintenance work.

The water supply is being turned off in parts of Mansfield, including Quarry Lane, between 8pm on Tuesday and 8am the following morning and so there would be no water at Field Mill for toilet and changing room facilities.

The match with Wrexham will now be played 24 hours later on Wednesday, 16th January.

It had originally been postponed last year because of international call-ups for Wrexham players.

The FA Cup fourth round tie with Middlesborough also means the trip to Stockport on 26th January will be added to the home game against Bury as matches needing rescheduled dates.
