FRUSTRATED DERRY STILL HOPEFUL OF MANSFIELD TAKEOVER
Evening Post 23 August 2007

James Derry today admitted his frustration a Mansfield Town takeover by his consortium was not completed ahead of the season - but insists a deal could still be on.

Any deal involving the Derry consortium is likely to be for purchasing the club only with the ground being secured on a ten-year lease from owner Keith Haslam.

"I have not heard anything from the club, which is immensely frustrating because we hoped to tie things up by this stage," said Derry (right).

"The bid has been in for about a fortnight. I understand we will be receiving documentation next week and we are keen for things to progress quickly."
