Aussie bidders for Stags want your views

THE Australian businessmen behind a move to take over Mansfield Town Football Club today reassured Stags fans that their interest 'is very real'.
Now they have urged supporters to let them know their views on the potential new owners – and if they would return in numbers to Field Mill should the club be sold.

The consortium has offered a £275,000 package to buy the football club and spoke exclusively to Chad earlier this week.

But with the businessmen remaining anonymous for now, many fans have viewed the news with scepticism.

However, a spokesman for the 'Down Under' interest said that any new owners would need encouragement and involvement from the fans.

He said: "If the supporters don't put bums on seats, any owner is going to struggle.

"Our bid is very real. But if supporters want change they need to encourage and get involved.

"Do fans welcome our bid? What do they think? Would they come to matches and support us if we took over? We would like to know what they think."

Let the Australian consortium see and know your views. Simply register (ON THE CHAD WEBSITE) if you haven't already, it takes only a moment, and then post your comments:
