Photographer bailed again
CHAD WEBSITE, 19 April 2007

FREELANCE photographer Dan Westwell, who has admitted disorderly behaviour at Mansfield Town's Field Mill ground, had his case adjourned again today.

He was thrown out of the stadium on 20th January for displaying a 'Haslam Out' photograph on his laptop and had initially denied making an obscene gesture at Stags' chief executive Keith Haslam as he was escorted from the ground by stewards and police officers.

But when Westwell appeared in front of magistrates last week, he admitted making the gesture at Mr Haslam, who was sat in the director's box, and said he immediately regretted his actions — although he claimed he was upset by the stewards' behaviour.

Westwell (32), of Swinton Copse, Boughton, said he had merely up-loaded the image onto his laptop before being surrounded by stewards and police officers, who told him to leave the ground or they would physically drag him out.

He was bailed again today to 10th May for sentencing.
