Photographer bailed by magistrates

FREELANCE photographer Dan Westwell was given unconditional bail until 19th April at Mansfield Magistrates' Court today (Monday) after admitting disorderly behaviour.

He was thrown out of Mansfield Town's Field Mill ground on 20th January for displaying a 'Haslam Out' photograph on his laptop - a photograph of a road sign relating to fans' protests against chief executive Keith Haslam.

Westwell initially denied disorderly behaviour after gesturing his middle finger at Mr Haslam in the Directors Box as he was escorted from the ground by stewards and police.

But when Westwell appeared in front of magistrates today (Monday), he admitted making the gesture and said he was 'very sorry' for his actions.

He said he had been upset by the stewards' behaviour and the thought that he might not be allowed back into the ground.
