GRITTON SIGNS ON LOAN UNTIL END OF SEASON

Dearden Lands Two
mansfieldtown.net, 12Jan2007 Mansfield Town Boss Billy Dearden has landed two of his targets in the open transfer window. Barry Conlon and Martin Gritton have both signed papers for the Stags this morning keeping them at Field Mill until the end of the Season. Centre forward Conlon has joined the Stags on a Free transfer from Darlington where he has been released from his second term at the North East club. With an impressive goalscoring record throughout his his career he has plyed his trade at clubs as diverse as York City and Manchester City. Gritton another powerful and experienced front man who agreed a loan until the end of the season from Promotion chasers Lincoln City where he has netted 3 goals in 9 league games already this season. "I am delighted to have got both these players as I said when Richie Barker left I wanted to bring an experienced player in as cover.
