STAGS RESERVES/YOUTH LOSE AT LEICESTER

Stags Reserves / Youth Team put in a good 1st Half performance yesterday at Leicester Citys Training Ground

The Foxes fielded 9 players with 1st Team experience, including Cadimateri, Johnansan (Ex Blackburn), Johnson (Ex Forest/WBA) and Sheehan

And Stags fielded a reserve side which interchanged with young Youth Team players during and towards the end of the 2nd Half.


The Stags played well in the 1st half with a following wind and created a few openings which wasn't taken, it was good to see Dawson back and with Lloyd in the midfield added some early bite.

Rory Boulding hit the bar and Beardsley was upsetting the opposing Centre Halves.

However at the turn the home side imposed the pressure, and following a couple of defensive mistakes and substitutions to include Some of the Youth side the Stags were well beaten at the end.

Muggleton, Woods, Macintosh, Charlton, Arnold, Lloyd, Dawson, Sleath, Beardsley, Boulding, and many Youth Team players introduced.

Johno makes return against Stags

Rob Kelly was able to give a number of his first team squad players a run out when the Foxes took on Mansfield Town in a training game at Belvoir Drive on Tuesday afternoon.

Andy Johnson, who returned to training following a lengthy absence with an ankle injury on Monday, got 60 minutes of action under his belt, while Nisse Johansson, Darren Kenton, Richard Stearman, James Wesolowski, Chris O'Grady and Danny Cadamartei also featured on the day.

For the record the Foxes ran out 5-0 winners - with youngsters Louis Dodds [3], Max Gradel and Andy King grabbing the goals.
