1st reaction from Sincil Bank, Stags boss Peter Shirtliff talks about the late drama in which the Stags grabbed a late point....

Speaking on Radio Mansfield following the match, Shirtliff said "The game was played in difficult conditions, and i thought we played the best football"

"I thought 1st half we played quite well, without looking likely to score"

"We had some good situaitons, without testing the keeper too much, it was a disapointing goal to concede, but we showed good character to come back"

"We had numerous free kicks in the 2nd half, because we tried to play football but got hacked down, so one of them was likely to pay off"

"If we can keep progressing we will do well"

Questioned about the surprise inclusion of Simon Brown, Shirtliff replied "Simon Brown has got a date for his operation which is the 24th April, we'll see if we use that or not, but for now we'll keep ticking over"

"We are in good spirits, Heldje has a sore calf but we'll see how that develops in the week."

"The play offs is not really an issue i don't think, it was a tall order, but we'll keep going to the end to see what happens"

"I think a draw is a good result, and i think we played well, it would have been a travesty if we'd have lost, certainly Lincoln put you under pressure with their style and their set plays etc, but we coped quite well i thought, and if there was any side playing decent football, it was us"

"We created some good opportunities in the first half, and particular early in the 2nd half, and in fact their goal came on a breakaway, but that sometimes happens"

"We really needed to go in front, we needed to score first, but credit to them, they have stuck at it, and we gambled a bit by sticking three strikers up there to try and get something, and we were getting numerous free kicks and one of them is always likely to come of"

"Alan (Russell) has got good technique and he strikes a good ball, so when i saw him on the free kick, i thought he was going to go for power, but he took a decision that was going to work for him."

"He's a decent player, he's strong, he just needs match fitness obviously and i think he's done well whilst he's been at the club, his contract is up in the summer, so we'll deal with that when the situation presents itself"

"You never know about the play offs, if we beat Orient on Saturday, it looks different again, we just have to get the maximum points available, we might get 6 points over the easter period and it'll change"
