Matthew Tipton has a number of clubs chasing his signature after surprisingly being told that he can leave Macclesfield Town.
The Macc captain was informed by manager Brian Horton that he would not be getting fresh terms due to cost-cutting measures.
A host of clubs have enquired about the former Oldham Athletic attacker and are ready to make their moves.
"Darlington, Mansfield, Wrexham, Swansea and Cheltenham have expressed an interest," agent Wayne Elsey of Platinum One told skysports.com.
"I'll be speaking to all of those clubs today.
"They all wanted to be contacted once Matthew had spoken to Macclesfield."
Barnsley manager Andy Ritchie could also throw his hat into the ring as he knows the player from his time at Boundary Park.
"Andy at Barnsley is interested because they were at Oldham together," confirmed Elsey.
