Onuora linked with Stags return
Teamtalk
Gillingham striker Iffy Onuora has been linked with a return to his old club Mansfield as a replacement for Chris Greenacre, who is set to leave.
Stuart Watkiss revealed on TEAMtalk last week that he has spoken to several players as last season's top scorer Greenacre is expected to leave The Stags, despite their promotion to Division Two.
Onuora recently admitted he had only been offered a "verbal deal" to stay at the Priestfield Stadium and, with the current cash crisis across the Football League following the collapse of ITV Digital, he is set to be included on the PFA list of released players next month.
Onuora's advisor met Gills chairman Paul Scally last week to discuss the frontman's situation, with the 34-year-old reportedly keen on a two-year deal.
Meanwhile, Rotherham boss Ronnie Moore could show renewed interest in Greenacre following the recent developments at Bradford City.
Greenacre had been tipped to join The Bantams on a free transfer over the summer, but now that Bradford have been placed into administration, their plans to sign the Mansfield hot-shot look to be in tatters.
