MASCOT SPONSOR REQUIRED

Sammy the Stag could be back this season if Mansfield can find a sponsor for their popular mascot.
Sammy was missing for almost all of last season after the club parted company with the suit's previous occupant and the suit itself fell into a poor state of repair. Sammy was dusted down and giving an outing for the crucial match at York City near the end of the season and was also in the market place for the promotion celebrations. But commercial manager Bob Gorrill said: "We want to bring Sammy back on a regular basis if we can find a sponsor to fund a new suit. "If that happens then it gives us other commercial possibilities such as tee shirts and mugs which is also beneficial to a sponsor." The club will not be interviewing potential Sammy suit occupants until a sponsor is identified. Source: Teamtalk |
