“Onandi Lowe was superb today,” admitted Brian. “He has a terrific left foot on him and his right foot wasn't too bad either today. He is a nice lad and he is trying to make a living in English football and he is going about it in the right way.
“I still think we still have yet to see the best from Onandi. He is still not 100 per cent fit in terms of stamina and playing for 90 minutes. He really has adapted to the way we play and he is outstanding. He is keen to be in England and what better way to start then with us.”
Brian continued: “It goes without saying that my players were excellent today and I have been saying for the last few weeks now that I wish I had this team right at the beginning of the season.
“Today has proved that we are a very good team now and we are a match for anybody. We will lose games at times but we have a good honest bunch of lads who all work very hard.
“I said to people at the beginning of the season that I misjudged it and we didn't have good enough players. But we have changed it around and that has been very hard work.
“Thankfully it has all turned out to be for the better. I think some people thought I was stupid but in the finish it has worked out well and I am delighted with the way this team has come together.”
The only sad news about today's performance was the withdrawal of Duane Darby. The striker had to be carried off and left the field in a wheelchair after twisting his ankle.
Brian concluded: “I think Duane will be out for Monday because he has twisted his ankle. It has really swollen up and he is now on crutches. He will have to keep the weight off it but he has no chance off being ready for Swansea.”
