CONFUSION OVER TRIALISTS

mansfieldtown.net reports that earlier breaking news that Hugo Leal, the £5.5m rated Portuguese player, was going to be coming to Field Mill was incorrect. A mix-up at the scouts side in Belgium, who introduced the player, got the imagination running wild amongst all at Field Mill and the Supporters alike when he declared that Leal was happy to come to England and have a look at Mansfield.
Unfortunately we are sorry to say that as far as we know Hugo Leal will be staying at PSG and will not be gracing Field Mill with his presence. However the other trialist mentioned will be on show this evening against Wolves with the Hugo in question being Hugo Henriques formally from Benfica. ------------- Confusion as trialists prepare to face Wolves CHAD website MANSFIELD Town will use tomorrow night's (Tuesday, 7.30pm) prestige home friendly with Championship side Wolves to have a look at four more trialists. And initial confusion over the identity of one of them has finally been cleared up. Darren Barnard, Maceo Righters, Antonio Valente, and Hugo Henriques will all play some part of the game, though another trialist, Marvin Robinson, is ruled out with an ankle injury. Portuguese striker Henriques' former clubs include Benfica and Vitoria de Setubal. Initially it has been believed full Portuguese international Hugo Leal was coming over after confusion over the surname and the fact that both players had been at Benfica. Defensive midfielder Valente also hails from Portugal while Maceo Rigters is a Dutch striker. |
