Asamoah Signs
Derek Asamoah became the latest Mansfield Town Fc Player this afternoon when he finall put pen to paper in a deal that will see him stopping at Field Mill for two Years.

The pacy forward who will be a suitable replacement for Junior Mendes will be thrown in the thick of the action tomorrow (Saturday) in the pre-season friendly against Stoke City at Field Mill. Kick off 3.00pm

Stags Swoop For Asamoah

Mansfield have completed the signing of pacy striker Derek Asamoah from Northampton.

The 23-year-old rejected a number of contract offers from the Cobblers in order to look for regular first-team football.

He has signed a two-year contract at Field Mill after passing a medical on Friday afternoon.

Stags boss Keith Curle said: "I am pleased to finally secure this deal because Derek's a player I've had my eye on for a while."
