Stags hold Millers to 0-0
mansfieldtown.net The Stags held first League Championship Rotherham to a 0-0 draw during a behind closed doors training game. The Stags took a plethora of triallists along with them to the millers Millmore ground playing a 40 minute period followed by two 30 minute periods offering the management team Keith Curle and John Gannon an opportunity to see the players in a competitive footballing situation. Gannon said "I am very pleased with the way the Pre-Season training is shaping up and lads on trial are mixing well the more established players in the squad." -------- Millers held by Mansfield Teamtalk Rotherham's behind-closed-doors friendly against Mansfield was marred by adverse playing conditions and unsurprisingly finished goalless. A strong wind blowing across the Millers' training ground meant good football was at a premium at Hooton Lodge, although the game provided Ronnie Moore's men with a useful run-out in preparation for their hectic summer schedule which begins later this month. Rotherham's first pre-season friendly open to the public is at home to Premiership side Middlesbrough on Wednesday 21 July. |
