27 April 2004 By John Street Stags Reserves beat the Spireites at Saltergate in a friendly this afternoon. The Stags started brightly and took the lead when Dave Artell headed home a Tom Curle corner, and further extended the lead when following a good one-two with Andy White, Lloyd ran at goal at slotted past the home keeper. Stags were well in control with Dimech orchestrating well from centre of midfield. After the break the Stags looked to have blown themselves out, and were lucky not to concede early on but regained their composure in the second half to hold out for a well deserved victory.
